Tactical, and fast with the relevant detail. A priority is set while the options stay open. The edge is exhilarating. Negotiation wins people over so a lot gets done through them, and success wants a bottom-line measure. Consulting fits. Care for family and friends is deep, and disrespect is a real disappointment. Hero is Active Adapting (Se): the concrete option, taken now. Parent is Skillful Sleuthing (Ti): leverage and a definition that holds. Child is Friendly Hosting (Fe): the room's tone, touchy when it is not returned. Inferior is Keen Foreseeing (Ni): the long picture the tactic keeps postponing.
Improviser · Artisan · need of freedom/Get-Things-Going
Concrete and pragmatic. The aim is tactical freedom: impact, skill, the next real move in the situation at hand. They operate or entertain. A plan that cannot be executed now is noise.
Home of the extraverted perceiving types. Options and energy hit the room first. The point is to get life moving, then steer what woke up.
Roles 1-4. The same process is a different life in each role. Together they are the lens, not four lenses. This is how the process behaves here, in this type.
Se · Hero
You lead with the concrete fact that is here. Impact, texture, opportunity, the move available in this room, trusted because it can be met and acted on now. Identity fuses with presence. If you are not in the action you feel unreal, so you get impatient with people who want to talk about later. At its best you read the opening and take the real chance: the tool, the deal, the tone of the actual moment. At its worst the present is so absolute that consequence, history, and anyone not in the room feel like rumors.
Focus on the consequence that arrives after the move. Embody presence that can wait one beat. Integration is taking the real chance, then staying long enough to meet what the chance became.
Ti · Parent
You take care of people by clarifying. You define the terms, expose the contradiction, and hand them a cleaner account so they can decide. The care is real: you will not let them build on a leak. The distortion is correcting them until they feel stupid, and withholding help until their problem is logically pure. You get cool and relentless when the room wants warmth instead of a definition that holds.
Focus on the one distinction that helps them decide. Embody clarity without a classroom. Integration is offering the cleaner account, then stopping when they have enough to move.
Fe · Child
Harmonizing is play and a bruise. You want the room to like the moment, you warm it, you are wounded when the mood turns and no one repairs it. This is the part that wants belonging without having to earn it by competence. Welcomed, it keeps a blunt or private life human. Mocked, you manage harder, or you shame the room for being cold and then pretend you did not need it.
Focus on the wish to be included, and give it an honest shape. Embody warmth that is not a performance. Integration is joining for a while, then leaving when you are actually done.
Ni · Anima / Animus
The inner image is the soul's door, and you are clumsy at it. A dream, a numinous picture, a sense of destiny arrives and fascinates you, then humiliates you because you cannot make it reliable or useful on command. You idealize the person who seems to just know, or you dismiss vision as impractical and then get haunted by it. Performing brilliance here fails. If you let the image inform you without having to be the visionary, a life that trusted only the concrete, the record, or the next option remembers it has a direction.
Focus on the picture that keeps returning, and refuse to turn it into a personality. Embody a beginner in vision. Integration is letting the image inform one ordinary decision, then going back to the work you can already do.
Roles 5-8. The functions the ego exiled, in the attitude it refused. They are still this lens. They are the part of the perspective the observer was not allowed to use.
Si · Opposing
Other people's memory and method irritate you. You dismiss the file, the precedent, the 'we already tried that,' because it slows the impact, the idea, or the plan. You cite a counter-history only to block. The careful, traditional person becomes the rival. Owned, you can consult what already happened without having to obey it or sneer at it.
Focus on the precedent you want to sneer at. Embody someone who can consult the file without obeying it. Integration is asking what was tried, then deciding with that knowledge instead of against it.
Te · Witch / Senex
Effectiveness becomes a curse. You set a standard no one can meet, then condemn them for missing it. You bulldoze a plan onto people and call their strain an excuse. It sounds like responsibility. It is a withering. Owned, the same force is a true limit. You can require a result that actually matters, and stop protecting a process that only feels pure.
Focus on the standard no one can meet, including you. Embody a result that matters and can be reached. Integration is lowering the bar to the true bar, and holding that one.
Fi · Trickster
Feeling ties knots. You play with loyalty. You invite a confession and then treat it as leverage, or you send care and contempt in the same gesture until the other person cannot tell what would count as respect. You get bound too, and no longer know which feeling is yours. Owned, the bind breaks into a clean, simple allegiance you can actually keep.
Focus on the mixed loyalty, care and contempt in the same gesture. Embody one allegiance you can keep. Integration is saying which feeling is yours, and dropping the other.
Ne · Demon / Daimon
Banished, possibility sabotages from underneath. Sudden, unlivable alternatives erupt: quit everything, burn the form, the other life you never chose arrives as a compulsion or a breakdown. You do not experience it as creativity. You experience it as chaos that ruins what you built. Faced, the same eruption is a calling toward a life larger than the one you sealed.
Focus on the unlivable alternative that erupts when you are tired. Embody a larger life without burning the one you have. Integration is giving the eruption a bounded experiment, not the keys to the house.
Se-hero treats impact as truth, and Ti-parent supplies a reason after the fact. Opposing Si dismisses history. Witch Te forces a crude plan on others. Trickster Fi plays with loyalty. Demon Ne refuses to consider where the move leads. The ego says: later is somebody else's problem.
The strike can still happen, and inferior Ni is allowed to ask where it goes. Opposing Si learns from the last time. Witch Te builds a follow-through. Trickster Fi is met as a real bond. Daimonic Ne looks at the other options before the leap, then chooses. Impact grows a horizon, and someone besides the promoter is better off.
Noticing the relevant evidence and moving to a reasoned action is the strength. Match the other person's values when you recruit them, and use curiosity. Negotiation can be read as manipulation. After you win people, they want follow-through. Others cannot go as fast as you. Disagreement is not disrespect. The biggest payoffs take patience. Clients are not friends. Give the people close to you a real turn in charge. Respect is earned by wisdom, not by winning.
Read from the rim inward: Dominant, Creative, Normalizing, Harmonizing. Four ways one lens gets believed. The eight roles are the cut of the lens. They do not change. The Self is the one who sees, and it is the same Self in every type. What the lens believes, it helps make. It is not a rank.
