The Maps Meet

A type, a number, a quadra, a trait, an attitude: each is how attention is shaped. The spiral is which life condition that attention is serving. The manual is what a clinic names when the same attention inconveniences the group. This page holds all three, so they stay one account and not three religions.

Each of these can visit any station. What follows is a common capture: the way a strength defends a color until the color is the whole world. Use it as a mirror, not a verdict. The sixty-four subtypes are not given their own rows. A variant is another study of the same type, not a different station.

NT

Theorist

Models, principles, long views, systems that hold.

  • BlueThe principle becomes law. Inconsistency is heresy.
  • OrangeThe model becomes a scoreboard. People are variables.
  • GreenThe critique of power becomes a purity system with better footnotes.
  • YellowThe map becomes superiority. Care is optional.

Integrity edge. Let a living exception into the model. Let the model serve a person who will not improve it.

NF

Catalyst

Meaning, identity, potential in people, the inner story.

  • PurpleThe circle is the whole world. Leaving is betrayal.
  • BlueThe ideal becomes a moral absolute.
  • GreenEmpathy becomes consensus police.
  • TurquoiseOneness language that will not do the ordinary task.

Integrity edge. Tell a hard truth that costs belonging. Keep a self that can be alone without abandoning care.

SJ

Stabilizer

Continuity, duty, memory, the kept promise.

  • Beige / PurpleUnder stress, safety at any cost to the outsider.
  • BlueThe procedure is the good.
  • OrangeReliability becomes production without rest.
  • GreenCaretaking becomes control of the household or the team mood.

Integrity edge. Let the form serve the life it was built for. Allow a change that is not a threat to order.

SP

Improviser

Presence, skill in the moment, freedom, the body's yes.

  • RedImpulse as truth. Shame as death.
  • OrangeSensation and freedom as a private score of experiences.
  • GreenPleasure and tribe as the whole ethic.
  • False freedomLeaving before the figure closes.

Integrity edge. Stay long enough for a promise to mean something. Freedom that returns and tells what it learned.

Enneagram

The number is the strategy of attention. The station is what that strategy is currently serving. A Seven can sit in any color. What follows is the capture that strategy falls into without noticing.

  • 8Red, then Orange. Force becomes the good. People are either with the will or in the way.
  • 9Green, and Purple. Peace and belonging are kept by erasing the preference that would disturb them.
  • 1Blue, then Orange. The standard becomes the law, and then a score no one can meet, including the reformer.
  • 2Purple, then Green. Being needed becomes the whole of love. A person who does not need you is a threat.
  • 3Orange, then Blue. The image of the result replaces the person who was going to do it.
  • 4Purple, then Turquoise. The missing thing becomes an identity. Oneness language is used to stay special and apart.
  • 5Yellow, then Blue. The map becomes a fortress. Understanding is used so the person never has to spend themselves.
  • 6Blue, and Purple. Authority, or the loyal circle, or the fight against both, which is still a relation to both.
  • 7Orange, then Red. Options become a score. Appetite is called freedom. The limit is left for a later self.

Socionics quadras

A quadra is four types who value the same information. It is not a people you are required to prefer. The capture is what happens when those values are the only ones allowed with other people. Model A, not a translation of the sixteen.

  • AlphaYellow and Green. Ideas, comfort, and a light mood. The capture is a clever present that will not face force or a loyalty that costs. ILE, SEI, ESE, LII.
  • BetaBlue and Red. A shared feeling, a system, and the will to move a group through time. The capture is a meaning that needs an enemy. EIE, LSI, SLE, IEI.
  • GammaOrange and Red. Results, forecast, and a private bond. The capture is people treated as assets or as betrayals. SEE, ILI, LIE, ESI.
  • DeltaGreen, and the practical end of Orange. Work, a personal ethic, someone's potential, a livable life. The capture is a mildness that will not use force when force is the honest tool. LSE, EII, IEE, SLI.

Big Five

Not a type. A high score is not a station. It is a tendency that makes one station feel like home and the others feel like a moral failure.

  • OpennessYellow, Turquoise, and the novelty side of Orange. The capture is a new frame used to avoid a plain fact.
  • ConscientiousnessBlue, and the production side of Orange. The capture is a life that cannot be interrupted by a living person.
  • ExtraversionOrange and Red. The capture is a group that is never allowed to be quiet, and a pace treated as a virtue.
  • AgreeablenessGreen and Purple. The capture is a yes that was fear, sold as care.
  • NeuroticismAny color, held by alarm. The station is no longer a perspective. It is a threat response. This is a trait description, not a diagnosis.

Attitudinal psyche

The first aspect is the one the person will not be talked out of. That confidence is what captures a station. The third aspect is where the station can shame them. Twenty-four orders exist. The position is the part that meets the color.

  • 1VRed, then Orange. Will is not up for debate. The capture is other people treated as slow.
  • 1LBlue, then Yellow. The argument has to hold, and the feeling in the group can wait. The capture is a correct account with no one left in it.
  • 1EGreen and Purple. The mood is trusted and acted on. The capture is a consensus that cannot hear a refusal.
  • 1FBeige, then Red. The body, the money, the group, decided without a committee. The capture is comfort or impact as the whole ethic.
  • 3rdThe insecure aspect is where a station gets in. A third-position will can be shamed into Blue duty. A third-position emotion can be shamed into looking cold, or into performing Green. The position is the bruise. It is not the type.

Station Reminders

  • BeigeNeeds the body safe before any map matters.
  • PurpleNeeds belonging that can release you.
  • RedNeeds power with something worth protecting.
  • BlueNeeds law that remembers what it protects.
  • OrangeNeeds craft that does not erase the person.
  • GreenNeeds care that can stand a dissenting sentence.
  • YellowNeeds perspective that still pays a cost in care.
  • TurquoiseNeeds oneness that still cooks the meal.

The Filing

The same differences, read by the manual instead of by a station. There is no validated map from any of these systems to a DSM diagnosis. The chart is the misfile: the diagnosis a group reaches for when a style will not sit, will not perform feeling, or will not call a hard year a personality. The essay, the funding, and the drugs are on Dogma. This is not an instruction to start or stop a medicine.

Read across. The left column is the filing. The other columns are the types a clinic, a school, a parent, or a forum walks into it. Attitudinal psyche is given as a position, not all twenty-four orders. 1 is confident, 3 is insecure, 4 is unbothered. V will, L logic, E emotion, F the body. Big Five is a trait pattern, not a type. The sixty-four subtypes are not here. A variant is not a different filing. Tritype is not here. It is three of the Enneagram numbers already listed.

ADHD, the loud formA perceiving mind and a body that will not sit in a dead class. Many starts. The week is loud. The clinic names a deficit of attention. Often what is missing is a reason to stay.ENTP, ENFP, ESTP, ESFP7, 8, and the busy 9 who never reaches the thing they meant to doSexual, then self-preservation. The charge, or the body, will not wait.ILE, IEE, SLE, SEEHigh extraversion, high openness, low conscientiousness1F, 4F, 3V
ADHD, the quiet formThe task loses to an inner line. The person is with other people and not on the assignment. Called inattentive. Autism, the wide netSystem over small talk. A particular sensory world. Few bids for the group mood. What used to be called Asperger's is now folded into one spectrum and handed out widely. A precise mind is not a failed social performance.INTJ, INTP, ISTJ, ISTP5, 1, 6Self-preservation, and social when the rules of the group are studied from outside.LII, ILI, LSI, SLILow extraversion. Openness and conscientiousness can sit at either extreme.1L, 4E, 3E
Bipolar II, cyclothymiaA fast week, many projects, a crash when the group goes quiet. Intensity is read as an episode. Vision, and a private language for it, filed as a thought disorder.INFJ, INTP, INFP, INTJ5, 4Sexual or self-preservation. The inner world, or the one bond, carries what the group will not.IEI, ILI, LII, EIIHigh openness, low extraversion1L, 3E
AntisocialWill not perform remorse for a talk-based setting. Risk, bluntness, a private ethic. The word also names a real pattern of harm. The misfile is using it for anyone who will not comply.ESTP, ENTP, ISTP, ENTJ8, 7, and the counterphobic 6Sexual, then self-preservation.SLE, SEE, LIE, ILELow agreeableness, high extraversion1V, 4E, 1F
Complex trauma, as an identityA hard history, or an intense temperament, renamed as the whole self. Injury is real. The bond is where the story is required to live.IEI, EIE, ESI, EIIHigh neuroticism3E, 3V

Tools, Not Totems

When type explains away harm, it is a costume. When spiral rank explains away people, it is a costume. Integrity claims the capture. Discernment uses the tool and puts it down.
